Basketball Recap: Tyee Takes a Loss

Tyee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt an 82-51 loss at the hands of the Steilacoom Sentinels. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 57-20 to them when the teams met back in January of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Tyee still got an impressive performance from Arnav Kolluru, who posted 20 points and three steals. The contest was Kolluru's seventh in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malick Yusufu, who had eight points and six rebounds.

Tyee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Steilacoom, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-12.

Tyee has already played their next game (against Charles Wright), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Steilacoom, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-48 victory against Fife on the 7th.
