Football Recap: Crenshaw Christian Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Crenshaw Christian Academy can now relate to. They took a blow against the South Choctaw Academy Rebels on Friday, falling 64-18. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Rebels are ranked 166th).

Dawson Sikes went supernova For South Choctaw Academy., rushing for 85 yards and two TDs. That's the most rushing touchdowns Sikes has posted since back in September. John Railey was in the mix as well, providing South Choctaw Academy with two touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Crenshaw Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-9. As for South Choctaw Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Crenshaw Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Choctaw Academy, they will challenge Patrician Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
