Basketball Recap: Norton Find Success

Norton lost to Coventry back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Norton Panthers secured a 54-50 W over the Coventry Comets.

Despite the loss, Coventry still got an impressive performance from Kameryn Kennerly, who posted 26 points. That was a full 52% of Coventry's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Alex Meinen was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

The win got Norton back to even at 5-5. As for Coventry, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Norton will be playing at home against Buckeye at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Buckeye knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Norton likes a good challenge. As for Coventry, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-52 defeat against Lake on the 10th.
