Basketball Game Preview: Eustace Bulldogs vs. Malakoff Tigers

Eustace is 2-8 against Malakoff since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eustace Bulldogs will head out to take on the Malakoff Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Eustace turned things around against Quitman on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 44-31. The team ran away with 31 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Malakoff challenged Winona on Friday. Malakoff secured a 46-40 W over Winona.

Malakoff pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Eustace, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-18.

Eustace was taken down by Malakoff 55-22 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Eustace avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
