Basketball Recap: Westview Comes Up Short at Home Against Barlow

Westview unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barlow Bruins. The Wildcats have struggled against the Bruins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The victory (which was Barlow's fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Westview will take on South Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Barlow, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Grants Pass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grants Pass has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three matchups.
