Tri-Valley snaps three-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Tri-Valley Mustangs vs. Dakota Valley Panthers

The Tri-Valley Mustangs suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Dakota Valley 86-53. Tri-Valley has not had much luck with Dakota Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

It was another big night for Luke Bruns, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds for Dakota Valley. Bruns is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Logan Collette, who scored 17 points along with five assists.

Tri-Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-6. As for Dakota Valley, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Tri-Valley will head out on the road to challenge Canton at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Canton's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Dakota Valley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hamlin at 8:30 p.m. on January 20th. Hamlin is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
