Mira Mesa entered their tilt with Canyon Hills on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Rattlers. The Marauders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rattlers, too.

Brooklyn Haug spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mira Mesa's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Isabel Novak, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was Novak's first of the season.

Mira Mesa's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-11. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Canyon Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
