Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kerry Smith and Frankie Mabe Lead North Forsyth to Victory

North Forsyth hadn't done well against McMichael recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The North Forsyth Vikings came out on top against the McMichael Phoenix by a score of 62-50. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Phoenix back in January, they had to take a 78-60 loss.

Leading North Forsyth to victory were Frankie Mabe and Kerry Smith. Mabe went 8-for-15 en route to 24 points, while Smith posted 12 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds. What's more, Mabe also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shallah Boxley, who put up six points.

McMichael's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jeremy Rosenbaum, who earned 19 points, and JJ Tatum, who scored 18 points.

North Forsyth's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-11 and their overall record up to 4-15. As for McMichael, they dropped their record down to 5-18 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither North Forsyth nor McMichael have any future games scheduled.
