Football Recap: Queen Creek Starts off Right with Win over Mojave + How To Watch

Queen Creek had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 42-19 margin over the Mojave Rattlers. The score was close at halftime, but the Bulldogs pulled away in the second half with 34 points.

Queen Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sawyer Hales, who threw for 109 yards and three TDs.

Queen Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Rj Jackson and Jaron Liles. Jackson has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last four times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Mojave had strong showings from S'Marion Coleman, who picked up 109 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and RaJahn Butler, who rushed for 65 yards on only six carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Mojave and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Queen Creek will square off against Boulder Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mojave, they will take on Desert Pines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
