Baseball Recap: Leyden Takes a Loss

Leyden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to the Fenwick Friars.

Leyden saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hassan Khrawish, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Khrawish's first of the season.

Leyden's loss dropped their record down to 16-16. As for Fenwick, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-15-1 record this season.

Leyden and Fenwick are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Eagles will challenge Glenbrook South at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fenwick, they will face off against Kenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
