Volleyball Recap: Oceanside Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Oceanside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Mission Hills Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 1st.

While Oceanside ultimately came up short, they really made Mission Hills work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20, 26-24.

Mission Hills was led to victory by Keilani Pacheco and Taylor Sybesma. Pacheco had 22 assists and five digs, while Sybesma had 13 digs and two assists. That's the most assists Pacheco has posted since back in August.

Oceanside's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Mission Hills, their win bumped their record up to 22-8.

Coincidentally, Oceanside and Mission Hills will both be playing Mt. Carmel the next time they take the court. The Pirates will host the Sundevils at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Grizzlies will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
