Basketball Recap: Dike-New Hartford Comes Up Short

Dike-New Hartford was the 57-33 winner over Roland-Story when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dike-New Hartford Wolverines took a hard 47-33 fall against the Roland-Story Norsemen on Thursday.

Dike-New Hartford has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Roland-Story, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dike-New Hartford won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oelwein at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Roland-Story, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Greene County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Roland-Story is facing Greene County at the right time seeing as Greene County is stuck on an 18-game losing streak.
