Softball Recap: Cerritos Dons vs. Pioneer Titans
Cerritos barely beat Pioneer the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dons put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 16-2 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Dons, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Jade Hernandez was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
