Baseball Recap: Fort Recovery Takes a Loss

Fort Recovery's last matchup with Coldwater could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Indians lost 9-0 to the Cavaliers. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Cavaliers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Fort Recovery's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Coldwater, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Fort Recovery and Coldwater should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Indians will take on Lehman Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (200 vs. 415). Meanwhile, Coldwater (ranked 47th) will meet South Adams (ranked 338th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Cavaliers' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Starfires have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
