Football Recap: Minneapolis Lions vs. Ellsworth Bearcats
It was a proper cat-fight when Minneapolis took on Ellsworth on Friday. The Minneapolis Lions fell to the Ellsworth Bearcats 26-21. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.
Landin Johnson had an outrageously good game for Ellsworth as he rushed for 263 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. Johnson's longest rush was for an incredible 94 yards.
Minneapolis now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Ellsworth, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Minneapolis didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-14 defeat vs. Norton on the 27th. Ellsworth has also already played their next contest, a 48-7 victory against Lyons on the 27th.
