Basketball Game Preview: Triangle Math & Science Tigers vs. Chatham Charter Knights

The Triangle Math & Science Tigers will be playing at home against the Chatham Charter Knights at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Triangle Math & Science sitting on four straight victories and Chatham Charter on six.

It was a proper cat-fight when Triangle Math & Science duked it out withRiver Mill on Tuesday. Triangle Math & Science took down River Mill 40-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Triangle Math & Science to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noor Rana, who posted 21 points along with six boards and three steals. Those 21 points gave Rana a new career-high. Sanjana Vanukuri was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Triangle Math & Science smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in ten consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Chatham Charter took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 56-26 win over Ascend Leadership.

Triangle Math & Science is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.6 points per game. As for Chatham Charter, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-12.
