Baseball Recap: North Star Cougars vs. Redbank Valley Bulldogs
With a playoff game on the line, North Star rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Redbank Valley Bulldogs a 4-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for North Star who now have four in a row.
The team relied heavily on Connor Yoder, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
North Star has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Redbank Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
North Star will square off against Bald Eagle Area on Monday. Bald Eagle Area will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something North Star surely won't give up without a fight. Redbank Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
