Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Merino). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 66-20 win over the Lyons Lions. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their eight-point performance the game before.

The victory got Merino back to even at 2-2. As for Lyons, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Merino will challenge Rocky Ford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lyons, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Front Range Christian at 4:00 p.m. on October 3.
