            Volleyball Recap: Waterford Lancers vs. East Lyme Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            
Waterford was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They came up short against  the East Lyme Vikings, falling  3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in September.
 While Waterford was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into East Lyme's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-15,  25-16.
 Chloe Landry paced Waterford's offense, picking up five kills. Landry got some help from  Danica Agsalud and her 19 assists.  Willow Higgins controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Waterford's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for East Lyme, their victory was  their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 15-1.
 Waterford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-2  defeat against Norwich Free Academy on the 8th. As for East Lyme, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  2-1  win against Plainfield on the 8th.
