Volleyball Recap: Coastal Christian's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Coastal Christian waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Cuyama Valley Bears with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Coastal Christian was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-9.

Brooke Canaday paced Coastal Christian's offense, picking up 16 kills. Canaday got some help from Mylee Neuschafer and her 38 assists. Canaday and Neuschafer didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Coastal Christian's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Cuyama Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Coastal Christian will face off against rival San Luis Obispo Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cuyama Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Coast Union at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
