Baseball Game Preview: Carlisle Indians vs. Franklin Wildcats

The Carlisle Indians will challenge the Franklin Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carlisle has three straight wins, Franklin has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Carlisle needed a bit of extra time to put away Brookville. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Blue Devils. The game was the first time the Indians have beaten the Blue Devils on their field since May 8, 2023.

Meanwhile, Franklin fell victim to Edgewood and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

Franklin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Eyink, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Carlisle, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Carlisle skirted past Franklin 5-4 when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
