The Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls were the 46-41 winner over the Bruce Randolph Grizzlies when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's loss on Monday came despite strong showings from Jaziel Perez and Kiran Rogerio. Perez scored 17 points along with three steals, while Rogerio scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Perez hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Xavier Galvan, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.

Rocky Mountain Prep SMART has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Bruce Randolph, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14.
