While Purcell didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 38-19 win over the Chickasha Fighting Chicks on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Purcell's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Chickasha, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Purcell has already played their next game, a 63-43 defeat against Heritage Hall on the 17th. As for Chickasha, they are taking a road trip to take on Pauls Valley at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Chicks will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.43 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
