Soccer Recap: Litchfield Extends Winning Streak to Three

Litchfield hadn't done well against Carlinville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Purple Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Cavaliers. Litchfield's winning goal came courtesy of McKenna Harmon.

The win (which was Litchfield's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three games. As for Carlinville, they moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Litchfield will head out on the road to challenge Metro-East Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Litchfield are facing Metro-East Lutheran at the right time seeing as Metro-East Lutheran are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
