Basketball Recap: Kinzlee Faulkner's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Firth over Ririe

Firth was the 40-27 winner over Ririe when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Firth Cougars came up short against the Ririe Bulldogs on Friday, falling 47-26. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Firth lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kinzlee Faulkner, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelbie Perry, who had seven points.

Firth's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Ririe, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Looking ahead, Firth will challenge North Fremont at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ririe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
