Mineral Point came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Fennimore Golden Eagles 13-2. Considering the Pointers have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Mineral Point's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Fennimore, they moved to 16-6 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Mineral Point will be playing at home against Iowa-Grant at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pointers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Fennimore, they will face off against Darlington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
