Volleyball Recap: Kimball Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kyndal Reich and Hannah Kilgore

Kimball was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bridgeport Bulldogs. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Kimball started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Kimball's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Hannah Kilgore, who had 26 digs and one assist, and Kyndal Reich, who had four aces and one assist. Kilgore is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 18 games she's played.

Kimball's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Bridgeport, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 12-19 record.

Kimball has already played their next match (against Hemingford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bridgeport, they will host Hay Springs on Tuesday.
