Shalom Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keaton Shands, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Shands is becoming a predictor of the Flames' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't).

Shalom Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Saint James, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shalom Christian Academy will head out to challenge West Shore Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Shalom Christian Academy is facing West Shore Christian Academy at the right time seeing as West Shore Christian Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Saint James, they will venture away from home to take on Maret at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
