Football Recap: Rogers City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Rogers City lost against Mio-Au Sable back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hurons received a blow as they fell 36-22 to the Thunderbolts. Despite the defeat, Rogers City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bryan McKinstry threw for 239 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards. McKinstry has become a key player for the Hurons: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Rogers City's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Mio-Au Sable, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Rogers City will be playing in front of their home fans against Alcona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mio-Au Sable, they will head out to challenge Bellaire at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
