Basketball Recap: Brunswick Takes a Loss

Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Walkersville Lions, falling 54-18. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Railroaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-33 back in January.

Walkersville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Boram led the charge by putting up 11 points along with six assists and six steals. Another player making a difference was Liyana Goukoye, who went 8 of 16 on her way to 17 points and eight rebounds.

Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Walkersville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.

Brunswick has already played their next match (against Clear Spring), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Walkersville will host Boonsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
