Softball Recap: Oliver Springs Victorious

Oliver Springs's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks.

Carlee Gallaher was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off only two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run.

In other batting news, Hannah McKinney was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Kenzie Russell was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Oliver Springs now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hardin Valley Academy, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Coming up, Oliver Springs will square off against Eagleton College & Career Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hardin Valley Academy, they will challenge Webb at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
