Baseball Game Preview: High Tech NC Raptor vs. St. Joseph Academy Crusaders

The High Tech NC Raptor will square off against the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

High Tech NC barely beat St. Joseph Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. High Tech NC put the hurt on St. Joseph Academy with a sharp 19-2 victory on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raptor.

Dylan Shelton made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 4-for-5. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Matthew Larkins was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Armando Dominguez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

High Tech NC took their win against St. Joseph Academy in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 19-2. Will High Tech NC repeat their success, or does St. Joseph Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
