Basketball Recap: East Lee County Takes a Loss

East Lee County played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the North Fort Myers Red Knights, falling 53-15. The game marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

North Fort Myers' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bianca Iten, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Iten has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gia Molloy, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.

East Lee County is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10. As for North Fort Myers, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

East Lee County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-39 defeat against Island Coast on the 3rd. As for North Fort Myers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-8 win against Southwest Florida Christian on the 3rd.
