Moon Area extends road winning streak to five

Recap: Moon Area Tigers vs. Mars Fightin' Planets

The Moon Area Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Mars with a sharp 79-58 victory. The victory was nothing new for Moon Area as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Mars' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Ceh, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Ceh hasn't dropped below 15points for 13 straight games. Another player making a difference was Ben Detisch, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.

Moon Area pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points per game. As for Mars, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moon Area will face off against South Fayette at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mars, they will head out on the road to challenge Montour at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montour presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mars in Pennsylvania (Montour is ranked 20th, while Mars is ranked 90th).
