Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Has No Trouble Against Centennial

Mountain View won the last time they faced Centennial and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mavericks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots.

Mountain View can attribute much of their success to Makayla Compton, who had six digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Compton a new career-high.

Compton wasn't the only good servers: Mountain View was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive contests.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 17-15-2. As for Centennial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 15 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-22 record this season.

Mountain View has already played their next matchup (against Owyhee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
