Basketball Recap: Leroy Comes Up Short

Leroy lost against McIntosh two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Leroy Bears were beaten by the McIntosh Demons 65-18. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

McIntosh's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chauncey Dixon, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards. Dixon is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 19 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Brown, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards.

Leroy dropped their record down to 5-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for McIntosh, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Leroy will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Millry at 5:00 p.m. As for McIntosh, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-51 defeat against Jackson on the 28th.
