Softball Recap: Cosumnes Oaks Comes Up Short

Cosumnes Oaks and Whitney squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Cosumnes Oaks had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 15-0. The shutout was out of character for the Wolfpack seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Cosumnes Oaks has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Whitney, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Cosumnes Oaks does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Whitney, they will challenge Granite Bay at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
