Baseball Game Preview: Antelope Valley Antelopes vs. Lancaster Eagles

Antelope Valley hasn't had much luck against Lancaster recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Antelopes will square off against the Eagles at 3:15 p.m. Antelope Valley has given up an average of 12.6 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Antelope Valley is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Friday. They lost 14-0 to Quartz Hill.

Antelope Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Lancaster suffered their biggest defeat since March 1st on Thursday. They came up short against Highland, falling 14-4.

Lancaster's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Antelope Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Antelope Valley suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Lancaster in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Antelopes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
