Football Recap: Pleasant Plains Comes Up Short

Pleasant Plains lost against Olympia back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cardinals were outmatched by the Spartans and fell 54-13.

Olympia got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jimmy Lollar out in front who rushed for 177 yards and two scores while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Lollar's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 130 rushing yards dating back to last season. Brendon Hardimon was another key player, rushing for 94 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries.

Pleasant Plains' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Olympia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Pleasant Plains wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 34-7 loss against Williamsville on the 24th. As for Olympia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 60-28 victory against Auburn on the 24th.
