Central is 9-1 against Florence since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wildcats will welcome the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Central took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over Russellville.

Chloe May spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

At the plate, Mycah Beth Ray was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Peyton Benson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Florence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Austin, falling 10-4.

Florence's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Central took their win against Florence in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 17-7 score. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
