Volleyball Recap: Conant Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Conant and Wheeling, and Wheeling kept the tradition alive. The Cougars fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Conant started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-22, 25-15.

Conant dropped their record down to 6-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Wheeling, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Conant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Elk Grove on the 30th. Wheeling has also already played their next contest (against Leyden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
