Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to 14

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Christ the Cornerstone Academy, Cornerstone Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 61-33 victory over the Grace Christian Wildcats. That 28 point margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cornerstone Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Tadlock, who posted 21 points. Those 21 points gave Tadlock a new career-high. Carter McCollum was another key player, putting up 21 points.

Cornerstone Christian Academy's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Grace Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Cornerstone Christian Academy and Grace Christian will both be playing Liberty Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Grace Christian will host Liberty Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Cornerstone Christian Academy will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
