Softball Recap: Moss Point Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Moss Point's offense. They came up short against the Greene County Wildcats on Thursday, falling 16-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 12-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Moss Point's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Greene County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.

Coming up, Moss Point will square off against Biloxi at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Biloxi is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Greene County, they will challenge East Central at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
