Volleyball Recap: Vidor Takes a Loss

Vidor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13.

Tuloso-Midway's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyson Cadena, who had seven digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Cadena a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ariella Esquivel, who had six assists and five digs.

Vidor's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tuloso-Midway, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Vidor has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Long Creek on the 15th. As for Tuloso-Midway, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Hardin on the 16th.
