Basketball Recap: West Limestone Takes a Loss

West Limestone lost against East Limestone back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The West Limestone Wildcats were dealt a 66-32 loss at the hands of the East Limestone Indians. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Indians are ranked 82nd).

West Limestone's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for East Limestone, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the West Limestone Wildcats challenge the Lauderdale County Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Limestone has already played their next contest (against Clements), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
