Softball Recap: Curry Takes Down Danville in a Playoff Battle

Curry extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Danville. They blew past the Hawks 16-0. Considering the Yellowjackets have won 32 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Skiely Perry looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Shileigh Williams was incredible, going 3-for-4 with seven RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Ralee Dunagan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Curry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .577. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Curry's record is now 49-3. As for Danville, their loss dropped their record down to 22-22.

Curry didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-4 win against Hamilton on the 7th. As for Danville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-2 defeat against Wilson on the 7th.
