Football Game Preview: Trinity Trojans vs. Northwest Texans

The Trinity Trojans will face off against the Northwest Texans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Trinity has three straight victories, Northwest has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Trinity needed a bit of extra time to put away V.R. Eaton. They pulled ahead with a 24-23 photo finish over the Eagles. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Eagles are ranked 125th).

Meanwhile, Northwest played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 41-3 loss at the hands of Byron Nelson. The game marked the Texans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Trinity against Northwest when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 49-13 victory. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Texans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
