Softball Recap: Santa Rosa Lions vs. Raton Tigers
Santa Rosa extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 7-8 in the process. They lost 21-3 to the Raton Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 on Friday.
Santa Rosa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angelina Silva, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Kaidyn Chavez was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
As for Raton, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. The result was nothing new for Raton, who have now won eight games by 15 runs or more so far this season.
