Loris is 9-1 against Marion since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lions will be playing at home against the Swamp Foxes at 6:30 p.m. Loris' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Marion's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Loris came out on top against Green Sea Floyds on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Trojans 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since April 19, 2024.

Loris' win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Avery Todd, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against East Clarendon, falling 18-1.

Loris' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Everything went Loris' way against Marion in their previous meeting back in March, as Loris made off with an 18-0 victory. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Swamp Foxes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
