Soccer Game Preview: Wheatmore vs. Pine Lake Prep

The Wheatmore Warriors will head out to take on the Pine Lake Prep Pride at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Wheatmore is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Bandys.

Meanwhile, Pine Lake Prep entered their tilt with Randleman on Monday with 14 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 15. They blew past the Tigers 10-0. Considering Pine Lake Prep have won 13 games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Randleman from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Sadie Peterson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Pine Lake Prep's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 53 goals over those eight matchups. As for Wheatmore, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-7-1.
